REVIEW: You'll want more of BAOS's terrific Oliver!

 

WHAT a superb show Basingstoke Amateur Operatic Society have put together for their 90th year!

 

Not only does Lionel Bart’s musical boast one terrific song after another, but it is also full of characters ripe for the plucking by the society’s talented performers, who have been directed and choreographed by Gail Lowe, with musical direction from Michael Hutton.

BAOS Youth Members Enjoy Workshop with West End Star Peter Polycarpou

BAOS (Basingstoke Amateur Operatic Society) were delighted to hold a workshop recently for young Basingstoke musical theatre enthusiasts with star of stage and screen, Peter Polycarpou. Kindly supported by the Leisure Initiatives Fund from Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council, ten young members aged between 14 and 21 spent two enjoyable days at Fairfields Arts Centre, which culminated in a performance to just under 50 friends and family members.

Basingstoke Gang Show BAOS Special Offer

The BASINGSTOKE GANG SHOW started in 1980 and now takes place every two years at the Haymarket Theatre with a cast of around 70 Scouts and Guides. Over the years the standard of the show has risen to the position of being acknowledged as one of the best shows in the country.

All-singing and all-dancing exhibition at Milestones museum, Basingstoke

Basingstoke Amateur Operatic Society, which celebrates its 90th anniversary next year, certainly has something to sing about judging from the displays of costumes, programmes, photos, props and scenery, which will be on show until October 2 at the museum in Basingstoke Leisure Park.
