| In Memoriam | EILEEN SPICER (long term supporter and wife of former President) and Jim Welling (former performing member and President of BATS). Jeanne Titchiner (1928-2021) was our longest serving member having a long history with us on stage from August 1944, at the age of 16, in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Trial by Jury to her last production, another Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, Iolanthe, in March 1991. She was a Life Member of our Society and continued to support our events and productions into her 90s. The photograph shows Jeanne in our production of HMS Pinafore in 1955. |
